Privacy Policy

In short: we keep your information only to find you work. We never sell it and show no ads. An employer gets your phone number only when you say yes to their job. Workers never pay anything, and Mazdoor never holds or pays wages. You can delete your data at any time.

1. Who this covers

This policy covers the Mazdoor Android app (package app.mazdoor.worker), the iPhone app, the web app at app.mazdoor.si and the website mazdoor.si. Mazdoor is a job-matching platform that connects skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers with employers nearby. Mitras are helpers who sign workers up with their consent.

2. What we collect

From workers

• Name, mobile number, age, gender (if you share it), city or area, and whether you can relocate.
• Trade, skills, machines, years of experience, languages and expected daily or monthly wage.
• Voice: when you speak to build your profile, your speech is turned into text on your phone. Only that text reaches us; we do not keep recordings of your voice on our servers.
• Biodata: if you upload a photo, PDF or Word file of your biodata, we read it to fill in your profile and store the file until you delete it.
• Chat messages with employers, your yes or no to jobs, gigs you worked, ratings (you rate employers and they rate you) and attendance records.
• Your device language (so the app speaks your language) and one-time passwords for login.
• A record of your consent: when, through which channel (app, link, call or Mitra) and to which notice you said yes.

From Mitras

• Name, mobile number and area.
• Which workers they signed up, with the consent record for each (the Mitra read the notice aloud, the worker said yes themselves, and the worker is 18 or older).
• What is needed to show the Mitra an earnings estimate.

From employers

• Company name, GSTIN, contact person's name, phone and email, work location and the jobs posted.

We do not ask for Aadhaar, PAN, bank account or card details.

3. Why we use it

• To match you with work that fits your trade, area and wage.
• To tell you about new jobs (in the app, by SMS, WhatsApp or call) and to read job details aloud to you.
• For login, fraud prevention and keeping the platform safe.

We never sell your data. No ads, and no advertising tracking.

4. Who sees what

• Employers with a matching job can see your profile: first name and last initial, gender, city, trade, skills, experience, expected wage, languages, ratings, and the Mitra's name if a Mitra signed you up.
• Your full name and phone number are shared with an employer only after you say yes to that employer's job. If you say no, your number is not shared.
• Employers never see your age, your biodata file or your login codes.
• A Mitra sees only the workers they signed up.
• Service providers handle hosting, SMS and WhatsApp delivery, spoken audio and reading biodata on our behalf. They use your data only to do that work for us, never for their own purposes.
• Government authorities, only on a valid legal order and only what is required.

5. About money

Workers are never charged. Mazdoor never holds, pays or takes a cut of wages; pay goes directly from the employer to the worker. Employers pay Mazdoor only for the matching service.

6. How long we keep it

• Your profile, biodata and messages are kept while your account exists.
• When you delete your data, your name, number, age, gender, city, biodata file and the messages you sent are erased straight away. Details are on the delete account page.
• Past gigs and ratings stay on record without your name, so employers' records stay correct. They cannot identify you.
• A record of your consent decision (without your name or number) is kept for 3 years so we can show the law that your choice was respected.
• A one-way scrambled form of your number (it cannot be turned back into the number) stays on a do-not-contact list so we never call or message you again.
• People who were asked for consent but did not reply within 30 days are erased automatically.

7. Your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

• Access: know what we hold about you and who it was shared with.
• Correction: edit your profile in the app, or ask us.
• Erasure: tap "Delete my data" in the app, or write to us.
• Withdraw consent: at any time, as easily as you gave it: "Delete my data" in the app, tell your Mitra, or email us.
• Grievance redressal: through our Grievance Officer below, and then the Data Protection Board of India.
• Nominate: choose someone you trust to use these rights if you die or cannot act yourself.

We reply to requests within 30 days.

8. Children

Mazdoor is only for people aged 18 or older. Mitras confirm each worker is 18 or older at signup. If we learn a child's details were added, we delete them immediately.

9. Security

All data between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Login uses one-time passwords, and access is limited to the people who need it to do the work. If a data breach ever happens, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
